Red Devil bites the dust

WEB_9333

Rita finished up round four of the Red Devil chemo treatments.  We are all breathing a sigh of relief that we’ve seen the last of the Red Devil.  Even though it will be a while before Rita gets all of it out of her system, we cheer that she has reached the end of this particular medicine.  It has been amazing to me how each one of her treatments has caused a different reaction to the same medicine.   Last week’s treatment saw her at work the very next day.  On the downside, she had to have a transfusion later that week because she was anemic.  She now has a cold and was running a fever.  I have no doubt, however, that if I walked in her front door right this minute that I would be greeted with her beautiful smile and that would be followed shortly with laughter and some special observation about how God is so good to her.  And He is!   I know that Rita wants this blog to reach others who are having trials in their life.  It has reached me as much as anyone as I see her determination and joy as she meets each day.  Enjoy these images and look for more in the next few days.
