Lovely Lady

As the sun began to drop for our Vintage Circus, it produced beautiful shadows and lighting for our models.  This image was taken while it was still quite bright but manageable with careful camera settings.  The direct sun was bright but low enough to produce nice lighting on her and also throw tree shadows to make the shot more interesting.   I wish I could share the excitement that each of us had during our circus session.  The photographers, make-up and hair artist and the models were all having a great time and we are anxious to do this again.  We have begun planning the next one with several more to follow.

I admit I strayed from the original photo a day because there were so many cool ones I wanted to share here.  I still have several to post.   Since these images were not “client images”, they are all part of my year of photographs but admittedly the circus images were all shot during a six hour period of time.  Yes, at least six hours since we began setting up about 12:30 p.m. and were shooting as the sun dropped.

I notice that my regular sessions are being affected very positively by participating in this concept shoot.  By stretching my imagination and creating something that wasn’t reality, it opened up new ideas for my “normal” sessions.  It will be interesting to see if there are changes in what I am posting by the end of this year because of this fantasy sessions.

  1. Love all of the photos I have seen so far. Love the colors, the lighting and the creativity. Can’t wait to see more and to hear what the next shoot theme is going to be.
